A Pennsylvania couple accused of leaving infant alone on a Lake George beach while they went boating.

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (WNYT)- A couple was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child Tuesday evening in Lake George after State Police say they left their infant alone on a beach to go boating.

Paul D. Thorley, 30, and Mary E. Thorley, 28, both from Mount Pocono, PA. allegedly left the child for 15 minutes alone while out on the lake. A passerby reported finding the infant alone approximately five feet from the shoreline, after they heard a child crying for a period of time.

The parents were taken to State Police barracks in Chestertown and are due back in Lake George Town Court on June 27.
