School district of missing 9-year-old readies crisis team
The school district attended by the 9-year old who went missing from Moreau Lake State Park said it has mobilized a crisis team to help the school community through this difficult time.
Corinth Central School District released a statement Monday. “The district maintains its focus on the safety and well-being of our students and staff,” Superintendent Dr. Mark Stratton said. “Our hearts go out to the Sena Family.”
Staff will be ready to respond to student concerns and questions. The district will also have extra counselors on site for any students or staff who should need their support.
Charlotte Sena went missing from the Moreau State Park on Saturday evening. She went for a bicycle ride around 6:15 p.m. in the area of Loop A. Her parents reported her missing about 30 minutes later when she did not return to the campsite where they were staying.
An extensive search began Saturday evening, which continued through Monday evening.
