Washington County Cheese Tour
Washington County is raising a glass to its award-winning cheesemakers, with its annual tour Saturday September 9th and Sunday September 10th. The annual Washington County Cheese Tour with Wine, Beer and Cider is self-guided, with stops at more than half a dozen artisanal cheese-making farms and craft beverage makers.
The event is organized by the Washington County Cheesemakers Guild, to help raise awareness of the county’s gourmet cheese industry. There will be activities for the whole family at each of the stops as well, with hayrides, milking demonstrations and live music.
The tour is free, but a $5.00 donation is encouraged. Proceeds from the donations will go to the Comfort Food Community, which fights local hunger.
