Albany Dutchmen cancels season after failing to reach agreement with Guilderland

The Albany Dutchmen will not play this baseball season.

The team was unable to work out an agreement with the Guilderland Babe Ruth and Guilderland Town Board over the use of Dutchmen Field in Guilderland, they said.

“The Guilderland Town Board determined that the we [sic] were over using Dutchmen Field @ Keenholts Park and also depriving local kids of playing time, so a decision was made to not renew our lease for 2024,” the team said in a statement on social media.

The team has played at the field since 2022 and was previously at three different ball parks before that.
