Breakfast in Clifton Park honors school leaders in Capital Region
The School Administrators Association of New York, or SAANYS, hosted its leadership breakfast for schools in Region 6 – the Greater Capital Region – on Monday.
The event was held at the Vista at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park.
The keynote speaker was Shenendehowa Senior Emily Lopez, a Paralympic athlete, winning medals in track and field.
Three educators received the Excelsior Award for their work in bringing more opportunities for students.
Groups of students were recognized for their leadership works within their own schools.
NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland and Subrina Dhammi received the Friends of Education Award – for the work NewsChannel 13 has done in telling stories supporting students and schools.
