HVCC hosting conference to get girls interested in STEM careers

The goal of this conference is to get young women in grades 4 through 8 excited about a potential career in science and technology.
Programs like this look to close the gender gap in this field.
Just 28% of workers in STEM are women, according to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The event will feature a keynote speaker and several hands-on workshops for students. It’s happening Saturday morning, March 23 from 8:30 to 11:30.
