School districts are reminding drivers to slow down in school zones, as buses will be back on the roads this week.
Middleburgh Superintendent Mark Place told NewsChannel 13’s Chris Onorato that transportation is a definite barrier for many students when it comes to after school activities.
The district has enough drivers for now, he said, but there’s no wiggle room, with very few subs on staff. However, mechanics are available to fill in if needed.
The superintendent is also excited to bring back field trips, he said.
Federal funding is allowing Middleburgh students the chance to go to New York City and Syracuse this school year, he said.
