Outdoor learning facilities greet Guilderland students

The Guilderland School District welcomed students back on Thursday.

A big highlight this year is new outdoor learning facilities at all the buildings, complete with technology and comfortable seating, Superintendent Dr. Marie Wiles said.

Guilderland High School has a new turf field that was completed last fall.

All five of the elementary buildings’ playgrounds were either replaced or improved this summer, Wiles said.

She noted the social and mental health of students are top priority.
