Fire chases 11 people from Schenectady home; One person injured One person had minor burns after an early morning fire in Schenectady. Firefighters responded to 239 McClellan St. for a report of a structure fire. Crews found fire on the first floor in the rear of the structure. Everyone was able to get out safely, officials said.

Firefighters responded to 239 McClellan St. Crews found fire on the first floor in the back of the structure. Everyone was able to get out safely, investigators said.

The fire was put out about 45 minutes later.

The person who was injured was treated at the scene. Firefighters also rescued a cat.

The Red Cross is now helping 11 people.

Firefighters are investigating the cause.
