Bloomberg endorses Sheehan for re-election in Albany

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is endorsing Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan as she runs for re-election.

In a statement released Wednesday, Bloomberg said Sheehan saved Albany from the brink of bankruptcy, has invested millions to reverse blight, and is committed to combating gun violence plaguing our nation.

Sheehan, a Democrat, faces Greg Aidala of the Independence Party, Alicia Purdy on the Republican and Conservative party lines, and write-in Democrat Valerie Faust on Nov. 2.
