Police investigating shooting threat towards Schenectady middle school
Schenectady police are investigating a shooting threat towards the students and faculty at Oneida Middle School.
In a Snapchat message screenshot shared by the department, the threat says 15 administrators and 40 to 50 kids will be shot between each floor, grades 6 through 8, starting with grade 7. No date or time for this threat was shared in the screenshot.
The Snapchat user also says the message was sent to Assistant Principal Matthew DeLorenzo.
Police say the threat is being taken seriously and under investigation by the Youth Aid Bureau.
