Albany County worked to get people vaccinated in rural communities. The county hosted a vaccine clinic at Berne Knox Westerlo High School as part of Gov. Hochul’s statewide "Vax to School" initiative.
First doses of the Pfizer vaccine were given out.
While the state’s campaign is geared towards getting young adults their first dose, booster shots were also administered.
People living in the community say it was a huge advantage to have the clinic at the high school.
Sixty-eight percent of Albany County residents are fully vaccinated.
