Son accused of threatening dad in nine hour East Greenbush standoff

A nine-hour standoff ends with the arrest of a 47-year-old man who police say tried to rob his father at knifepoint.
Police tell NewsChannel 13 Eric Partak broke into his father’s home on Evergreen Way Sunday morning.
After nine hours, officers were able to use tear gas to get Partak to surrender.
He has since been arraigned and remains in the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
He will be back in court on Thursday at 8 p.m.
