Deadly Berkshire County crash under investigation

SANDISFIELD, Mass. – One person has been killed, and another person has been seriously injured in a head-on crash in Berkshire County.

Massachusetts State Police say it happened Tuesday afternoon on Route 8 in Sandisfield.

Police say a 32-year-old man from Connecticut driving a minivan died. The driver of a pick-up truck, a 49-year-old man from Hinsdale, had to be airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
