We Salute You: William Merwin

Please join us in saluting Navy Gunner’s Mate 3^rd Class William Merwin of Pittsfield.

The father, grandfather and great-grandfather served in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He survived five days on a raft after his ship was torpedoed.

He later worked as a firefighter.

He passed away in 2001.
