QUEENSBURY – The entrance to the Great Escape theme park is getting a makeover.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report the new plan would tear down the current ticketing booth and make a build that would house metal detectors for guests to pass through.

The park engineer says the previous entrance worked at a time when attendees didn’t have to be checked by park security before entering.

The project would increase the green space by nearly 35%.

A public hearing on the plans was set for Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
