A new decision by a Saratoga County judge clears the name of a state corrections officer.
Christopher Bradt was accused of raping a woman he met on an online dating app.
He was indicted on charges of rape, sexual abuse, and strangulation.
A trial was supposed to begin last week, when Saratoga County Judge Jim Murphy dismissed the indictment, because the district attorney said there were issues with the accuser’s credibility. She is accused of having a history of making false statements.
Bradt, who had never been arrested before, says he’s grateful for the support of friends and family who stood by him.
