An Albany man is facing several charges after a police chase on the Northway.

Colonie police say Monday afternoon, at around 4:15, they noticed Omar Alqahtani driving on Wolf Road with multiple flat tires. They say he also drove across sidewalks and hit utility boxes.

Police say they attempted to stop him, but he refused to pull over and got on I-87 north. They followed him, and the car eventually became disabled just north of Exit 9.

State and Colonie police had to remove Alqahtani from the car after he refused to get out.

He was arraigned and has had his driver’s license suspended.
