Tamarac prevails over Mechanicville in battle of state-ranked Wasaren teams

The Tamarac boys basketball (ranked 3rd in the state in Class B) prevailed over Mechanicville (10th) 75-60 in a battle of state-ranked Wasaren League teams on Friday night. Junior Joey Poulin spurred a second quarter scoring run by the Bengals to give them a lead they wouldn’t give up the rest of the way. Poulin finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Zachary Rice was limited in the first half because of foul trouble, but scored 10 points in the 3rd quarter on the way to 19. Tyler Eiseman led the Red Raiders with 20 points in the loss.
