Powerball grows to $540 million

There’s another chance for you to become a multi-millionaire.

No one had the winning numbers for Saturday’s half-billion dollar Powerball jackpot.

The prize has now grown to more than $540 million.

If you decide to play, here is what you need to know about Monday night’s drawing.

If the winner claims the cash option rather than a 30-year payout, they will walk away with just over $384 million. After taxes, the lump sum payment is $245 million.

For the annuity option, the winner gets paid in 30 annual payments, an average of $17 million per year.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
