Halfmoon man gets 10 years in prison for trying to meet minor for sex

A Halfmoon man has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
Kevin Nugent, 44, admitted back in 2019, he used social media to try and entice a 14-year-old child to have sex with him. However, that "child" was actually an undercover cop.
Nugent was arrested when he went to meet the child in Albany County.
Once out of prison, Nugent also faces 10 years of supervised release, and must register as a sex offender.
