Deliberations continue over former GE engineer accused of stealing trade secrets

There’s still no verdict yet in the case of a General Electric engineer accused of stealing trade secrets.

Xiaoquing Zheng from Niskayuna is charged with economic espionage.

Prosecutors say he hid sensitive data about turbine technologies in a digital photo, emailed it to himself, then forwarded it to his business partner in China.

Jury deliberations began on Tuesday of last week.
