Montgomery County man accused of threatening woman with knife

FONDA – A Montgomery County man is facing a long list of charges.
The sheriff says his department got a call about a man with a knife, holding a woman against her will in Fonda.
The victim was able to escape and call 911.
The sheriff says the suspect, Lawrence Chest, took off, but was arrested nearby. That’s when officers learned the victim had an order of protection in place against Chest.
He’s being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
