Albany Police investigating shots fired call, vehicle pursuit

Albany police are investigating after a pursuit Monday night.

Police say at about 6:15 p.m., they got a call for shots fired. They spotted the suspect vehicles, which sped off.

One crashed into a police cruiser, damaging it near Tuscan Pizza in Menands off Broadway.

Shortly after the initial call, another call rang out for a 15-year-old with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police say they think the two calls are related.

The car that crashed into the cruiser was eventually spotted in Watervliet, and the occupants were arrested. The other suspect car got away.

Police are investigating.
