Capital Region to get $832k in grants from state DEC

More than $3 million in grants are coming from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

Most of the money comes to the Capital Region – more than $832,000.

The funding will protect open spaces, improve water quality and support local economies.

Money will go to Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park, the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance, Columbia Land Conservancy and others.
