A business in the Berkshires that supports people with disabilities is expanding and celebrating six years of being in business.

ExtraSpecialTeas provides training, support and employment for people with special needs.

And, they have opened another location in Housatonic located at 226 Pleasant Street.

For the grand opening, Saturday, the teahouse celebrated with The Blue Party. The event which lasted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. invited community members to wear blue for autism.

“I believe people with autism and all disabilities have something to offer the community. We belong in here at extra special teas and not only for our community, but to show everyone in the community deserves a place and to be accepted,” said Executive Director Cherri Sanes

Both community teahouses are open Monday through Friday from 10 to 4 p.m.
