Volunteers from the Capital City Rescue Mission continue to do their part for those in need this Thanksgiving.
They’ll serve about 1,500 meals for both sit-down and take-home dinners.
Volunteers on Monday participated in a Thanksgiving food box giveaway for about 200 members of the community.
For Thanksgiving Day, things start at the rescue mission with an 11 a.m. chapel service. Dinner will then be served from noon until 1:30. They’re due to include all the trimmings you expect — including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, pie and coffee!
Following dinner, snack and games are planned until 2 p.m.
