A Brooklyn man is facing charges in Troy and Watervliet, after a high speed chase that ended in a crash.

Watervliet police say they tried to pull over a driver on 16th Street Tuesday, after a traffic violation, but he took off.

They say he sped across the Congress Street Bridge, and hit another car at Ferry and 3rd Streets in Troy.

The driver of that car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The first driver, Cleveland Evans of Brooklyn, was arrested.

Police say Evans resisted arrest, even ingesting heroin.
