Puppies seized from owner charged with animal cruelty need foster homes

Two six-month old puppies need foster homes. The puppies were brought to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA (CGHS/SPCA) after being seized from a man who was arrested on animal cruelty charges.

CGHS/SPCA said Paris and Scoob, terrier mixes are “friendly and sweet.” They were examined by CGHS/SPCA staff and passed a health exam.

Zackery Diehl, 29, Palenville was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office after they received a complaint of possible animal abuse on May 5. The puppies brought to CGHS/SPCA on May 6, will remain in foster homes until the case against Diehl has been cleared, CGHS/SPCA said.

People interested in providing a foster home for Paris or Scoob can fill out an adoption application on the CGHS/SPCA website to be pre-approved or call (518) 828-6044 ext. 100.
