Delmar tea business capitalizing on bubble tea boom

A Delmar business is enjoying sweet success.

Dr. Milk Tea is capitalizing on the Bubble Tea boom in the United States.

The shop on Delaware Avenue opened its doors in January and its popularity continues to grow.

Bubble Tea, also known as Bobo, includes tapioca or other flavor spheres, milk, tea and ice. It’s believed to have caught on as Americans became used to sweeter coffee and flavored drinks from popular chain coffee houses.

Galaxy Fizz is the signature drink that can only be found at Dr. Milk. They also have four flavors of bubble waffle cones and 18 flavors of ice cream.
Right now, the business is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
