Biden’s aides discover new batch of classified documents

Aides to President Joe Biden discovered at least one additional batch of classified documents.

The documents were found in a location separate from the Washington, D.C. office he used after leaving the Obama administration.

The classification level, number and precise location of the additional documents was not immediately clear.

It also was not immediately clear when the additional documents were discovered.

The president said he is fully cooperating with the Justice Department’s review of the matter.

Federal law prohibits knowingly removing classified material and retaining it an unauthorized location, with penalties of up to five years in prison per offense.
