NewsChannel 13 salutes Army Air Corps Staff Sergeant Charles Schongar of Troy.
The father of five was a paratrooper in the European Theater during the 1940s, and later served in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
He later had a long career with Niagara Mohawk.
He passed away in 2005.
