Columbia County man accused of neglecting multiple dogs

A Columbia County man is facing animal cruelty charges. Curtis Rist, 63, of Greenport was arrested after police responded to a call and found five dogs in deplorable condition, investigators said.
Two of the dogs needed immediate attention.
All five dogs, ranging in age from four to 10 years – are expected to make a full recovery and will be placed up for adoption.
