NewsChannel 13 salutes Army PFC Joe Barrans of Guilderland.
The University of Wisconsin grad enlisted in order to qualify for the GI Bill.
He served in Korea during the 1950s, with stops at West Point, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
We’re told he has a great sense of humor and loves his family.
