April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the city of Troy will be “Painting The City Teal.”

The new initiative – displaying teal colored flags and ribbons across the city – hopes to remind survivors they are not alone.

The campaign is led by the St. Peter’s Crime Victim Services. This is a division solely focuses on sexual assault survivors and crime victims.

The hope is this initiative raises awareness.

Anyone who has experience sexual violence can react out to St. Peter’s Crime Victim Services at (518) 271-3257.
