Spring trout fishing season begins Saturday in New York State.

The State Department of Environmental Conservation is stocking nearly two million trout in waters across the state.
Saturday marks the opening of the harvest season after year-round fishing was given the green light on most streams in 2021.
October 16 to March 31 is now catch-and-release season.
