Woman dies after being hit by car in Wilton

A woman was killed when she was hit by a car in Wilton.
It happened around 8:15 Thursday evening on Route 9, investigators said.
Mary Farrington, 79, was crossing the road at the time. She died at Saratoga Hospital.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, said police.
