The deputy-involved shooting in Saratoga Springs isn’t the first time police have responded to Fox Run Apartments.
In fact, several residents said they’re not surprised by the shooting, and told NewsChannel 13 they want to leave.
Some said they have seen some trouble there in the past.
Several residents said they’re not surprised by the Tuesday morning shooting. That’s because they said there have been other incidents there, including a stabbing last year.
NewsChannel 13 reported last September an 18-year-old suspect was charged after stabbing a family member inside a home in the complex.
One resident, Sheree Stewart, said that happened just one week after she moved in.
Stewart does not feel safe walking around the complex, she said, and is looking to find a new place to live.
One of the things that bothers her the most is that Fox Run has not notified them of this shooting incident or past incidents, she said.
Hear her discuss her concerns by watching the video of Tessa Bentulan’s story.
