Churchill Downs announced the move, after the deaths of a dozen horses in the past month.
Track officials say they will use the down time to re-examine their safety measures.
The remainder of the track’s spring meet will move to another Kentucky venue.
On June 11th, the Belmont Stakes will wrap up the triple crown races for 2023.
