Victory Church hosts safe summer event

Families in Albany were having a good time Saturday in Black Lives Matter Park.

The party was hosted by Victory Church.
This is what the church considers it’s safe, summer event.
They host one of these events at the beginning of every summer, with pony rides, free food, games, and a big giveaway.
Organizers are hoping this type of celebration sends a positive message and helps get people involved in their communities.

Many children rely on bikes to get around during the summer, pastor Charlie said.
The church gave away 50 bicycles, and they’re hoping to give out a total of 300 this season.
