Alert Day: Potential for severe storms into this evening
Today, Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly cloudy, windy and very cold with the chance for scattered snow showers and flurries. Highs will be in the lower 20s with wind chill values in the single digits and closer to zero.
Friday will be dry with more sun and less wind. It will be more comfortable but still cold with highs in the upper 20s.
A storm system will then develop and head towards the mid-Atlantic coast on Saturday. If this storm tracks up the coast, we could see snow in the Capital Region. If it stays well enough to our south, there will be a lower chance of snow. We will keep an eye on this disturbance as it develops as it would be our next chance for impactful snowfall. Right now it looks like the storm may be far enough to our south.
Have a great day!
