The city of Albany now has 210 new units of affordable housing.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday at the Clinton Avenue Historic Apartments.
Seventy row houses along Clinton Avenue and Ten Broeck Street were rehabilitated at a cost of $56 million.
Forty of the apartments are set aside for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Also, people with mental illness.
The project was paid for through $3.5 million in tax-exempt bonds, $20 million in state and federal tax credits and $19 million from New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
