New hot dog shop opens in Rotterdam

A New York City style hot dog cart is taking orders in the Capital Region.

It’s called Robb’s Topp Doggs Mobile Kitchen.

Owner Rob Nedell says he recently left his job as a UPS delivery driver to pursue his dream of opening the business. He says buying hot dogs from a cart brings back childhood memories for many folks.
Robb’s Topp Doggs serves Sabrett natural casing hot dogs.

The menu includes “The Plain Jane” which is a dog topped with any free topping and “The New Yorker”, which is a dog topped with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard.

There are also specialty items like “Chopped Cheese”, which is a ground beef patty, chopped, covered in cheese, onions and peppers on a roll.

You will find the hot dog cart at outdoor events across the Capital Region, but it’s permanent home is in Rotterdam on Mariaville Road.
