The Red Cross helps 4 people after Fort Edward fire
The American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to 4 people after an early morning fire in Fort Edward.
The house fire was at 87 Park Avenue and was caused by an upstairs lamp in the house, the Fort Edward fire chief said.
There were no injuries
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to 2 adults and 2 children on Park Avenue in Fort Edward.
Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items, as well as stuffed animals for the younger children.
In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fires as they navigate the road to recovery.
