Warren, Washington counties sound alarm over fake election officials

The Board of Elections in Warren and Washington counties is warning residents about people pretending to be election officials.

There are individuals impersonating election officers who are confronting voters, they said.

They’re making accusations that people are illegally registered to vote.

There have been similar incidents reported this week locally and across the state.

Anyone who interacts with a self-proclaimed official should ask to see their identification, the Board of Elections said.
