Fulfilling a promise to “never forget,” 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers and 8 EMTs climb 84 floors, most wearing their personal protective equipment.
The number of climbers represents the number of emergency responders that died at ground zero with the collapse of the twin towers.
