Trooper injured in I-90 crash Sunday

A State Police trooper was injured in a crash Sunday on I-90.

Police responded to a car crash in the eastbound lanes at about 2:44 p.m. The investigation determined that a passing vehicle struck the rear of the trooper’s vehicle, causing it to be pushed into another police vehicle, according to Trooper Stephanie O’Neil, State Police spokeswoman.

The driver of the passing vehicle and the trooper who was in the first vehicle had minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The trooper has been discharged.
