Hochul extends protections against human trafficking

New York state is extending protections against human trafficking.

Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a new legislative package into law that expands the state’s Task Force on Human Trafficking.

The governor also signed legislation that ensures transportation hubs across the state show information that may be able to help victims.

Hochul also highlighted more than $2 million that was awarded to contractors that provide services to survivors and victims.
