Albany Police charge 17-year-old with attempted murder

The Albany Police Department arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly shooting a man.
The shooting happened at about 8 p.m. Wednesday night on South Pearl Street, officials said. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in Albany. He has been charged with Attempted Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
The suspect’s name is not being released due to his age.
The victim was treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center. They are in stable condition.
