Foundation honoring Philip Rabadi raises more than $200,000 to help train physician assistants, help victims

A foundation started by Philip Rabadi’s family has raised more than $200,000 in the year and a half since his death.

Rabadi tragically lost his life in April 2022 at his New Scotland home.

Rabadi was raised and educated in Albany. While working as a physician assistant at St. Peter’s Hospital, he was passionate about giving back to the community.

Rabadi’s family tells NewsChannel 13’s Stella Porter that the “Phil With Love” foundation funds scholarships for future physician assistants and advancements in medicine – two causes about which Phil cared deeply. The foundation also raises money to help survivors of domestic violence. Fundraisers include a annual golf outing.

Phil, as his family and friends called him, was 35 years old. He’s described as endlessly charismatic, patient and intelligent with an infectious laugh.

“Philip was not only an integral part of our family; he was a shining star in the community. His dedication to making this world a better place and his commitment to helping others has left an indelible mark on all our hearts,” read a statement from the Rabadi family and the family of Philip’s wife, Elana Radin.
